Love/Hate

I thought for my first blog back in quite a while I would chat about something really interesting... Nail Polish.

  • I love it. I have every color under the sun, and then some in fact. I can't go into the beauty supply without picking up a new bottle, nor can I leave my nails "naked" for more than about 24 hours. I would defiantly venture to say I'm addicted to it. The fall browns, spring pinks, summer reds, winter pale pinks, and the great "go-to" French Mani. AHH! It makes me so excited about the thought of the new seasons just so I can break out the coordinating colors. I could go on and on about it.

  • I hate it. I paint my nails about every other night. My hands are in water all day long and they will peel even after the first 12 hours. It will drive me crazy if there is just one little chip! I would love to find a pocketbook friendly way to keep my polish on longer. I have tried acrylic nails (not practical for my job), never tried shellac but am willing. I don't know if I can commit to one color for that long is my only problem... I have even tried the "Sally Hansen Wraps" no bueno either. Hair color and nail polish wraps are NOT a good combo. If anyone has any ideas on a solution I welcome it!

The toothless fairy...

Halle lost her front tooth about 3 weeks ago and now the other one is loose. She does NOT trust me to even see how wiggly it is because she thinks since I worked at a dental office for 6 years I will just yank it right out with no warning. Of course I have tried to tell her 500 times that I would never do that but still... No trust. Today we were at Sarah's house (my sister) and she and I want this tooth out so bad because we think Mary's wedding pictures will be cuter with a toothless flower girl. We tried everything we could think of to bribe her and she wouldn't let either one of us touch her. However, she would let my 3 year old nephew try to shoot it out with a Nerf gun...? Which didn't work. Im not really sure which one would hurt worse. (And yes, I do have it on video.) Sarah talked her in to attaching a string to the dart and to her tooth and shooting the dart out to see if it would come out that way but Halle started to freak out shortly after we got the string around her tooth. Im not sure what its going to take to get this dang tooth out. Its driving me absolutely crazy!!! So, if anyone has any ideas on what I should do I would love to hear them. Obviously nothing is out of the question...

Signed,
A very bored tooth fairy.

I'm very new at this...

So I'm sitting here trying to figure out how the heck I can make this ugly page pretty. I think its pretty clear that I have no clue what I'm doing. I hope that I can keep everyone interested with this blog... I'm sure with my daughter being quite possibly the funniest person alive I will have no problem making you laugh. Here's to happy blogging! Cheers!!
